Our Origins & Convictions

The history of labor has always been shaped by the persistent, often unrecorded work of women. Within Local 453, our committee was formed to ensure these voices are not just recognized but integrated directly into the structures of our leadership and advocacy.

We focus on structural equity. This means pushing for fair treatment, ensuring safe working conditions, and securing equal pay at every negotiating table. But our work extends far beyond workplace protections; we are dedicated to raising the floor for all women in our community through educational seminars, active mentorship networks, and vital resource referral.
